THANK YOU: 2018 Walk for Valour - Edmonton
Thu Sep 20, 2018 8:06 am
The 2018 Walk for Valour proved to be a great success in many ways and on behalf of the Valour Place Board of Directors, and Walk for Valour committee, I want to say thank you to the AACPO and those officers and agencies that stepped up to support our efforts.
As a result of the hard work that was contributed by all, the Walk for Valour had 145 registered walkers and our fundraising efforts have exceeded $32,500. I am told that more donations are coming in so hopefully our $50,000 goal will be etching closer.
A BIG thank you and shout out to Joel McDonald and Andrew Patterson (Leduc County), Eric Christensen and Trent Jager (City of Wetaskawin), Cody Rossing and Evan Brown (Strathcona County). These CPO's were supported by 5 EPS D Division members, 4 RCMP Traffic members and 1 ITU Sheriff in bringing our traffic safety plan together.
Not only did our LEO team provide a safe walking route for our registered participants but they helped demonstrate an integrated approach to public safety. So thankyou to all those who helped bring this event to it's successful conclusion.
I hope that all participants thoroughly enjoyed the pancake breakfast from Sawmill and the chicken fajita lunch served by Chilli's.
very best regards,
Jason Pascoe

2018 Walk for Valour - Edmonton
Thu Aug 30, 2018 7:50 am
The Valour Place Society is once again conducting its annual Walk for Valour in an effort to raise awareness and funds for its 'hope away from home', Valour Place.
The 2018 Walk for Valour will be a 5k or 10k walking event starting at the RCMP K Div headquarters, but not before we enjoy a delicious pancake breakfast thanks to sawmill.
We will walk through the beautiful tree'd area of Queen Mary towards the river valley where our 10k walkers will get to experience the river valley views from Cst Ezio Farone park.
Our walk will end at Valour Place where we will be greeted by the Loyal Edmonton Regimental Band and a prepared lunch provided by Chillis.
A registration fee of $35 will get you all this and you can enter by following this link: https://www.valourplace.ca/single-post/ ... alour-2018
RCMP HQ [11140 109 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5G 2T4]
free parking available
8AM - Pancake Breakfast and Registration
10AM - START ~ finish at Valour Place - Children under 5 are free
