Change to Provincial Offences Procedures Act - statute of
limitations from 6 months to 12 months:

"Recent changes were made to the Provincial Offences Procedure Act under Bill 16 - Red Tape
Reduction Implementation Act 2024. This change extends the statute of limitations from 6
months to 12 months. This provides an extended timeframe for initiating legal action to allow for
more comprehensive investigations into serious and complex regulatory offences. This change
came into effect on October 15, 2024."
