CPO's Requested in Fort McMurray
Tue May 24, 2016 1:47 pm
Hi Everyone,
Jamie Erickson has just received a FORMAL REQUEST from the POC (Provincial
Operations Centre) requesting Community Peace Officers to assist in Fort
McMurray.
POC is requesting 6 CPO 1’s and 2 CPO 1 supervisors to attend. Supervisors
do not need to be current sergeant’s but need atleast 10 years law
enforcement experience.
They are requesting the 8 officers to be able to start in Fort McMurray
starting tomorrow May 25, 2016 and stay for 7 days. YOU MUST HAVE YOUR
MUNICIPALITIES APPROVAL to attend, as well you must be able to bring your
work patrol car for the duration of the deployment. Accommodations will be
organized by the POC. Your respective municipality will have to cover your
upfront costs for wages ect, however, if you do go then POC will provide
you with a number for your municipality to be able to charge all costs back
to the POC.
If your municipality has granted you approval, please contact Jamie by
email at president@aacpo.ca or phone at 403-321-1353. He will put you in
contact with POC who will arrange the final details of arrival time ect.
Once all 8 officers are in Fort McMurray, the schedule will be determined.
PLEASE SEEK APROVAL FROM YOUR SUPERVISORS BEFORE REPLYING SO WE GET AN
ACCURATE NUMBER OF PEOPLE WHO CAN GO AND ARE NOT REPLYING WITH YES THEY CAN
GO AND THEN SPEAK WITH SUPERVISORS AND DO NOT GET THE APPROVAL APPROVAL!!
Thanks,
Cody
