Do you have a strong municipal policing or bylaw background and are committed to community well-being, safety and engagement? The Town of Beaumont is seeking a confident, energetic, team-oriented and personable professional to join our Protective Services Team, in the rewarding and challenging position of Supervisor, Municipal Enforcement. With a population of 18,320, Beaumont has a rich cultural history, ample amenities and is a great place to call home, and is only 15 minutes from an international airport and a major Canadian city.

Reporting to the General Manager, Community and Protective Services, or designate, the Municipal Enforcement Supervisor is responsible for the enforcement of municipal bylaws and applicable statues as per appointment from Alberta Justice, leading the Municipal Enforcement team to deliver a professional standard of Bylaw and provincial statute investigations or services, in addition to traffic enforcement.

Our ideal candidate has 5 years’ experience as a Peace Officer L, with at least three years of progressive supervisory experience complimented with post-secondary education in Law Enforcement, Police Studies, or Criminal Justice, as well as other related certifications such as EVOC, PPCT etc. The successful candidate will be required to pass an RCMP Enhanced Reliability Clearance and have the necessary qualifications to be appointed as Community Peace Officer I by Alberta Justice as this is essential for this position. A Drivers Abstract (5 years), as well as a Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check, satisfactory to the Town of Beaumont will be required prior to the commencement of employment.
